After years of planning and preparation, Resurgens Theatre Company returns to Forsyth County to launch the only outdoor “original practices” event in the Peach State—the new North Georgia Shakespeare Festival! You already know us as the nationally renowned OP troupe that produces the verse dramas of Shakespeare’s contemporaries (Marlowe, Jonson, Middleton, Fletcher, etc.), as well as rarely-performed works attributed to Shakespeare (Arden of FavershamSir Thomas More). Now, experience the special insight we’ve acquired in Shakespearean performance that few others can claim (specifically, by focusing on the collaborative nature of Renaissance playwriting and the comparative traits of the playwrights). Directed by Dr. Brent Griffin, our Prologue Season brings two favorites, Twelfth Night and The Tempest, to the shores of Lake Lanier for a three-weekend run that will finally fill the Atlanta area’s gaping void in open-air festival theatre.

General Admission $15—Lawn Seating (bring your own blanket or chair)
