COMING SOON

Resurgens opens our year of “Shakespeare’s Apocrypha Now” with the first great revenge tragedy of the English stage, Thomas Kyd’s The Spanish Tragedy! Easily one of the most popular and influential plays of the era, Kyd’s masterpiece creates a new genre for blood feud —filled with ghosts, murderers, and madmen—all composed in a soaring blank verse that sets the standard for the age. Directed by Dr. Brent Griffin, our “original practices” production revives the haunting sounds of this time-honored classic, which includes additions by William Shakespeare never heard in Atlanta before. Performance dates are February 19-21 at 8:00 p.m. and February 22 at 2:00 p.m.

All performances will be at our new venue, the historic Pythagoras Masonic Temple (108 E. Ponce de Leon Ave.) in Decatur.

Tickets are only $20, and are available online below

or at the Box Office prior to the show.
